In both videos, the stereotypical African American is portrayed as a lower class person. “Ghetto Delta Airlines” is very straightforward with their video. The man narrating is a white man speaking in a very stereotypical African American dialect almost making fun of African Americans. They also bring in other stereotypes such as African Americans being in gangs on the different coasts. On the other hand, the Everest College advertisement uses an African American man who has many aspects of the African American stereotype. He also speaks in a stereotypical dialect, and helps confirm the stereotype that African Americans are not very well educated and don’t have jobs. In this case, Everest College is using this man to give people who are uneducated a person to relate to.
